Konichiwa!

This has to be one of my favorite manicures up to date! I wore this for 4 days and finally had to take it off because of the wear and tear. Honestly most people liked it but didn't love it as much as I did. I think this is because I am obsessed with all things related to Japan. I also knew what the characters meant:)
To create this manicure I used 2 coats of Zoyas Sooki ( I love how bright this red is without blinding people)
The other color in the background is actually an acrylic paint  from an old paint by numbers! I took an old tooth brush got it wet ( I actually probably used a little to much water...less water darker splatters) then dipped it into the yellow gold and then just took a finger and brushed back against the bristles and WALLAH! splatters. I know this sounds really weird and it is odd to describe but I found a video on youtube that is similar to what I did. The toothbrush technique is exact click......HERE:)
Then I just googled Japanese characters, then found the ones I wanted to use and copied them, and to give one nail a little oomph I put a Bamboo Silhouette on the ring finger.
Pinky means Life. Ring is a bamboo silhouette.
Middle finger means Happy. Pointer finger is soul
Thumb is dream.

Yes I realized after the fact the "swoosh"
on the pinky is on the wrong side

The Bamboo Silhouette

This is the wear after 4 days.
Honestly not bad but for me no way

and the left after 4 days:)
I would recreate this manicure any day! I seriously want to do this for Korean characters as well. I love Kpop and have been watching some K-Dramas through HULU and oh my goodness, if you want something that packs a punch and you dont  mind subtitles you should check out Stairway to Heaven! I am on episode 6 already it is crazy intense!
Keep checking back everyone I have a cute summery simple look and one that is cute and a little nostalgic!
  LOVE!

  1. That's so cute. I do not have the coordination to do nail art at all! I am impressed.
