As I am typing this I am at 99 followers!

Thank you so much for supporting and letting me share my nail polish obsession with you!

I will be shopping for the giveaway and will be posting it shortly! I may open it and then post the prizes after they are all here.

But thanks again everyone, I seriously appreciate and love you!

Plaid to meet you!

LOL! I love the name of this manicure:) Anywho!
When I was in middle school I had an awesomely 90's outfit that was an olivey and white plaid dress/jumper. So mom did my nails in plaid to match. My love was born. So the other day I couldn't decide what to do and I had done 2 manicures and hated them both. So my mom told me to do a plaid manicure.
I LOVED IT! I used three colors and did a very simple manicure. I wore it for three days and looooved it the first two and liked it the third:)

The colors I used were:
 wet cement: the grey
phoebe: the blue ( fun fact this is technically a matte color)
 stripe rite: white

For this I did a grey full manicure then went in with a brush and did two vertical and two horizontal lines in blue and white. It was easy and cute.

Thanks for checking in everyone I will have a "haul" for you ladies tomorrow

Konichiwa!

This has to be one of my favorite manicures up to date! I wore this for 4 days and finally had to take it off because of the wear and tear. Honestly most people liked it but didn't love it as much as I did. I think this is because I am obsessed with all things related to Japan. I also knew what the characters meant:)
To create this manicure I used 2 coats of Zoyas Sooki ( I love how bright this red is without blinding people)
The other color in the background is actually an acrylic paint  from an old paint by numbers! I took an old tooth brush got it wet ( I actually probably used a little to much water...less water darker splatters) then dipped it into the yellow gold and then just took a finger and brushed back against the bristles and WALLAH! splatters. I know this sounds really weird and it is odd to describe but I found a video on youtube that is similar to what I did. The toothbrush technique is exact click......HERE:)
Then I just googled Japanese characters, then found the ones I wanted to use and copied them, and to give one nail a little oomph I put a Bamboo Silhouette on the ring finger.
Pinky means Life. Ring is a bamboo silhouette.
Middle finger means Happy. Pointer finger is soul
Thumb is dream.

Yes I realized after the fact the "swoosh"
on the pinky is on the wrong side

The Bamboo Silhouette

This is the wear after 4 days.
Honestly not bad but for me no way

and the left after 4 days:)
I would recreate this manicure any day! I seriously want to do this for Korean characters as well. I love Kpop and have been watching some K-Dramas through HULU and oh my goodness, if you want something that packs a punch and you dont  mind subtitles you should check out Stairway to Heaven! I am on episode 6 already it is crazy intense!
Keep checking back everyone I have a cute summery simple look and one that is cute and a little nostalgic!
  LOVE!

Fluttering into summer

I was in a fun girly mood and wanted to do something that was cute simple and feminine and also new for me.
So I went for my standard polka dots ( i know I wear these a lot but they are cute simple and can be subtle or standout) but I did something a little different on my ring fingers:)
This is two coats of Zoya's Rica and then a butterfly pattern. I thought it was fun and cute. Also I had quite a few ladies think they were pretty as well.
Now I did debate about doing this design on all my nails but ended up deciding that would be overkill. Now I know that the majority of people that do this design do actually do it on all their nails. Not saying that this looks bad, just saying that for the mood I was in the polka dots worked out better for me:)

Also we are up to 80 followers!! 20 more people and the giveaway will begin!! YAY! Thank you so much for all the support everyone! It means a lot especially lately:)
Love ya and see you tomorrow!

When I play

I don't usually play video games, but I will admit to kicking butt  and taking names at MarioKart. But about 2 years ago I got a DS for Christmas. With it I received a Zelda game.
Then at work last week the topic of video games came up and Zelda was again brought up ( along with my superior MarioKart skills) so that night when I got home I created my first video game inspired manicure. It was fun and I wore it for about two days.
All the polishes I used minus Zoyas Sooki for the red
2 coats jolly holly from china glaze

the left hand Z got a little fatty:)

I liked it a lot but definitely not one you could wear for a long time. Also some of the triforces were not perfectly centered and it drove me CRAZY!

Sorry for the delay in posting...Blogger was acting weird on my computer and it wouldn't let me on to the actual site!

Come back tomorrow for a new manicure in a style I hadn't tried before!

I am a little blue

Sorry I have been a little sparse on here everyone. I had some major stuff going on, and although I am not 100% I am doing better.
So the day before my friend had her baby we knew she was going in so as I had just bought some cool new blues I figured I would try my hand at my first patchwork design:)
I am using a little bit of everyone when it comes to polish, I have 2 OPIs, an essence and an ulta:) I didn't like it without the dots though, seemed like it didn't have enough definition.
But overall I liked the effect of the manicure, and loved the blues playing off each other with the silver.
I grabbed some polish for my giveaway so its building up! 30 more people to go!

I missed you guys and should be on here a little more regularly now that everything is done and sorted.

Stay tuned I have a cool game themed manicure and another one of my firsts to show you!
also I found the close up setting on my camera
do you guys like this better?

not to shabby for a left hand:)

loved these colors!

cement pool

I wanted neon and summery but I wasn't in that cheerful mood so I wanted to do something to darken it up a little bit.
For a neon I always reach for poolside from China Glaze. Its an amazing neon pink. Then I wanted to try to get the better sized cracks out of the crackle polish so I used cracked cement.
And wallah you have cement pool manicure ( which i actually wore on Wednesday and it worked for pink wednesday yay!)

I liked it alot but I had some real life trauma ( hence the I've been quiet) so to keep myself busy I was doing my nails to keep me from thinking on other things.

But on the plus side I am up to 70 followers so 30 more and it will be GIVEAWAY TIME!!!! whoot whoot!

thanks everyone!

So as these colors are awesome I thought I would show you two coats of one of the colors that get pushed back behind the others, Coral Reef.

I wore this color for about a week, it just so pretty!!
That is the wear after 4-5 days of this polish and the new topcoat I have been using. So far I am impressed!

Also I got a small haul and had a tragedy( nail polish related) so That is the next post:) I may have another announcement ( also nail polish related) in the next day or so, so stay tuned!
